The Cabins in the Woods is a beautiful property with two cedar split-log sided cabins and Hawk's Hiker Haven on a ridge above Stecoah Valley. With some of the most spectacular scenery in Western North Carolina, we are situated in the center of all the outdoor activities you could want.

Only 2 miles from Stecoah Gap. From there you can hike the Appalachian Trail out to Cheoah Bald, Fontana, or towards the Nantahala Gorge. Boating, whitewater rafting, trout fishing, zip lines, and paddling adventures await, with mountain biking at the Tsali Recreation area just a short drive down the road.

Make sure to check out the Stecoah Valley Cultural Center and schedule. Great music, crafts and events.

We are right off the Moonshiner 28 and a short drive from The Cherohala Skyway and The Tail of the Dragon, motorcycle and sports car nirvana.

The views are fantastic, and the laidback atmosphere just makes your cares float away on the mountain breeze.
